Mikki Mokki has been a keen mouser ever since she came home with her first mouse still attached to a mouse trap!
Sue rescued Stuart from the Ferne Animal Sanctuary in August 2018 when he was 4 1/2 years old. He was being rehomed as his owner was poorly and unable to care for him anymore. Stuart was initially very timid and spent the first 8 weeks hiding away, but gradually his confidence has improved and he now loves nothing more than sitting on a lap in the evening and having his ears tickled. He is a bit of a food monster though and no food can be left out uncovered or someone will eat it!
Bruno loves to play with toys and run everywhere! And where there is water you will find Bru! He is a cuddly bear under all the energy and loves a good chest rub by the fire in the evenings.
Bella the Border collie, was rescued by Emma in September 2013 as her owner could not manage her activity level anymore. Bella loves running on the Quantock Hills and the beach with Bruno. Toys are her all time favourite thing, especially when she can gather them all up together in one giant pile! She also loves having cuddles in the evening by the fire and playing around with Bruno.
This is Padfoot. He’s a polydactyl moggy, he makes good use of those extra toes as he is a brilliant hunter.
Ollie is a rescue golden retriever, who was very timid when he first came to live with me, now he loves nothing more than running out the countryside with his Labrador brother Monty. He likes to get up to mischief chewing things and eating things he shouldn’t, ending up with a couple of over night stays because of this! But loves the cuddles and attention everyone gives him!
Izzy is a miniature labradoodle who is nearly 7 years old and loves to run and chase balls on Burnham beach. She also takes part in the yearly 10 mile Mendip Challenge helping to raise money for charity and has she has also been on holiday to Dawlish and Brixham.
This is Rigel. I named him after a bright blue star that’s in the constellation of Orion. He is a very handsome Staffordshire bull terrier. I got him when he was 14 month’s old. He’s come on a long way with his training but he’s still wild. He hates street walking but loves running feral on the hills or beaches. His favourite things to do is to curl up on your lap for a cuddle or pose for photo’s.
Tali is owned by our receptionist Siana and her partner Josh.
Tali was adopted from the RSPCA in Brent Knoll back in 2016. They said that she loved cuddles and they weren’t wrong! She can usually be found sleeping on Siana and Josh’s bed or sat on the lap of whoever is around – basically doing anything that doesn’t involve going outside or exercising!”
This is Peanut, he is Bethan’s our Student Vet Nurses cat. He loves playing with his kong dinosaur and eating lots of food, just like the rest of the Blake Veterinary Group team!
