Other pet services
We can offer access to a range of other pet services which include:
Ophthalmology Consultations with Jim Carter from South Devon Referrals
Jim Carter is a specialist in veterinary ophthalmology and will be running clinics every other Monday morning at our Bridgwater surgery from January 2019. This is a great advantage to clients and clients from other practices as it means that your pet can be seen for consultations locally rather than having to travel to Newton Abbot in Devon. Please note that any surgical procedures will still be carried out in Newton Abbot.
Please visit their website for more information South Devon Referrals
Our puppy classes are run at the Bridgwater Surgery in the evening by animal behaviourist, Catherine Tomlinson MSc BSc PGCE. The classes are a great way for you to start building a relationship with your puppy and for socialising your puppy with other dogs and people. Please contact the surgery for more information.
Acupuncture is used predominately for musculoskeletal disorders and chronic pain in animals. It is commonly used for the treatment of arthritis, back and neck pain, hip dysplasia, and sprains and strains. Ali Webber is a qualified veterinary surgeon and member of the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists who visits our surgery regularly by appointment. We can refer pets to Ali, if appropriate, or please contact the surgery if this is something you may be interested in.
We can refer clients’ pets to Tip Top Hydrotherapy. Hydrotherapy can be very valuable in bringing pets back to fitness after surgery, for pets with on-going medical or mobility problems, for obese or elderly dogs and for competition or working dog fitness. Please contact us if you are interested or visit Tip Top’s website for more information www.tiptopkennels.co.uk.
